Hot summer expected in Georgia this year
Summer in Georgia will be hotter than normal, National Environmental Agency reports. As the representatives of the agency note, according to the experts of World Meteorological Organization (WMO), the weather in summer 2018 in the Balkan Peninsula, the Mediterranean Sea and the Caucasus region will be conditioned by the current and expected processes in Pacific Ocean, Atlantic and Indian Oceans.
The average temperature in above-mentioned regions will be higher in summer, while the precipitation will be less intense than usual.
According to the meteorologists, average air temperature in Georgia will be 1-2 degrees higher than normal by 60% probability and precipitation will be less than normal by 45% probability.
As usual, the average air temperature during summer in Georgia is +20 in lowlands, +17 in mountains, +14, +16 - in high mountains.
