Kintrishi National Park
The national park of Kintrishi is located in Adjara, in the most popular resort area of Georgia. The reserve is located on the slopes of the Meskheti Range and covers an area of 13.893 hectares. Most of the park is covered with dense forests.
The unique feature of the national park is the diversity of the terrain. The part of the park is located at an altitude of 2600 meters above sea level, some areas are at an altitude of 250 meters above sea level. The most beautiful sights of Kintrishi is the valley of the River Kintrishi, Lakes Tbikeli and Sidzerzali.
Due to high humidity and mild climate, the flora of the national park is quite diverse. The fauna of the park is also rich and strictly protected by the state.
The national park of Kintrishi is known not only for its picturesque landscape but also for historical monuments – monasteries, ruins of temples and other ancient buildings.
The reserve is a great place for hiking and camping. For the comfort of the park, there is a visitor center and two tourist routes with ready-made areas for camping and picnic. The first trail passes through historical monuments, the second is more suitable for hiking and horse riding. It will take two days to explore the whole park and admire all the beauties of nature.
