Number of Tourists in January Increased by 23%

In January of 2018 the number of international arrivals in Georgia increased by 14.8%, and the number of tourists showed an increase by 23% compared to the same period of previous year, - Giorgi Chogovadze, Head of the National Tourism Administration of Georgia, has said. 

According to him, in January of 2018, the number of the international arrivals amounted to 444,241. 

Reportedly, out of the total number of visits 189,476 lasted for 24 hours and longer than 24 hours, it is more than 35,393 people compared to the previous year. 
The majority of foreign travelers were Azerbaijanian (+0.8%), Turkish (+20.1%), Armenian (+20.9%), Russian (+14.6%) and Iranian (+92.4%).
